March 15, 2010
I wanted to provide you with a quick campaign update. The special election to replace former Congressman Robert Wexler is fast approaching, with less than 5 weeks left until Tuesday, April 13th.
New Endorsements
I am proud to announce that I have received the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police, the largest coalition of law enforcement officers in Florida. I am thrilled to have the support of so many organizations committed to our public safety, including the Florida Professional Fighters and the Police Benevolent Association. It is also a pleasure to announce the recent endorsement of my campaign by the Voters' Coalition, one of the most influential nonpartisan civic groups in South Florida.
Getting out the Vote
Since winning the Democratic nomination a few short weeks ago, I have continued to reach out to as many voters as I can throughout Florida’s 19th district. The truth is, many voters in Palm Beach and Broward Counties are unaware of this critical special election.
We cannot take any election for granted. With so many critical issues hanging in the balance, every vote in Congress counts. On Tuesday, April 13th, we need to make sure the people of Florida’s 19th district make their votes count. Donate today.
Exposure in the Media
I want to be a Congressman who is responsive to my constituents and delivers real results. Whether it is my recent efforts in the Florida State Senate to end taxpayer-funded contracts to companies that support Iran’s energy sector, or my legislation to restore commonsense, science-based sex education to our public schools, the media is taking notice of my record of getting things done. I am also pleased to be named “One of the Top Ten Jewish Politicians in America to Watch,” by the Forward Newspaper.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this quick campaign update. In the coming weeks, I will need your help to ensure victory on April 13th. If you are so able, please take the time to make a donation to my campaign or sign up for our crucial volunteer efforts.
Yours truly,
Ted Deutch
